The Province is a regional government, responsible for policy development and implementation in the field of nature, soil and water management, agriculture and economic development, spatial planning, mobility and culture. In our new spatial policy plan (‘ omgevingsvisie’), climate change adaptation is one of the focal points. A more natural soil-water system is the key element of our approach.

PNB has the responsibility to plan for water and spatial management in the region. It must develop new approaches that enable it to effectively implement adaptation measures to safeguard the local population and economy from the effects of climate change. Co-Adapt will enable PNB to test new approaches, and to learn from Co-Adapt partners. The project outputs will be useful tools to use in the future.
