The Province is partner of the Flemish Coordination Commission Integral Water Policy (CIW) which is responsible for the preparation, the planning, the control and the monitoring of the integral water policy in Flanders. We are experienced in:

– Managing water courses and executing different projects in valleys in order to reduce the risk of flooding or to enhance the ecological value.

– Communicating with different stakeholders and local communities about water management.

We expect new insights on working with local stakeholders through co-creation, and new knowledge on natural flood management measures as a result from this project.
