Co-Adapt will support delivery of challenges outlined in the Somerset Flood Action Plan (FAP). Following the severe flooding of 2013/14, the Somerset FAP recognised that that the way in which land is managed can affect flood risk and sediment transport, and called for more effective management of land throughout the catchment. Co-Creation and natural flood managemnt measures represent a significant shift in ways of working. Co-Adapt will lay the foundation for that shift to take place.
